Android is the straightforward one. Chrome saves the file to your Download folder and the system media scanner picks it up, so it appears in your gallery without any extra step.
No APK and no permissions are involved. Installing a downloader app from outside the Play Store is a genuinely bad idea, and it is unnecessary here.

Or find it in your gallery and in the Download folder.

Tap the field, then Paste. Chrome may ask to allow clipboard access — tap and hold then Paste works instead if you decline.

Chrome shows progress in the notification shade. Tap the notification to open the file when it finishes.
It appears in Google Photos, Gallery or your file manager under Download within a minute.
Downloader APKs from outside the Play Store are one of the most common routes to adware and worse on Android. They ask for storage access, often for accessibility permissions, and they run in the background long after you have used them once.
A web page cannot do any of that. It has no storage permission, no background process and no way to read other apps. The download itself is handled by Chrome, which you already trust with everything else you download.
Open your file manager and look in Download. The media scanner occasionally takes a few minutes; a restart forces it.
Chrome pauses transfers if Data Saver is on or if the connection drops. Resume it from the Downloads screen in Chrome's menu.
Both work. The download lands in the same Download folder.
Some launchers clear the clipboard aggressively. Copy the link again and paste immediately.
Every tool on this site runs the same resolver — pick whichever matches what you are trying to save.
Paste a link to any public post. Nothing to install, no account, and the options you see are the files the post genuinely contains.
